It's what Australians call themselves, like New Zealanders call themselves "Kiwis".

The more astute reader will have noticed that the word "Aussie" rhymes with "Mozzie".

What do those in the big country between Canada and Mexico call themselves? (not forgetting Alaska and Hawaii, although the latter apparently is not safe to travel to as per the State dept )

Oh you want to know what "shout out" means (knowing full well this, but playing dumb for comic effect )

It means that you are going to do something for someone, often in relation to buying a round of drinks in a pub.

"Pub" is an English word for a communal drinking establishment.

"Drinking" refers to Alcoholic beverages.

This is how "shout out" is being used in America these days:

shout-out (n.) Slang. A public expression of thanks or gratitude

Or my own version: "Shout out to Bemused, for making us laugh, even in the middle of discussing very sad and heavy subjects."
