Bemused, I think you misspelled on purpose so we would read your post twice! How cruel is that??

I'm a firm believer in an "everything in moderation" approach. I enjoy my red meat just as much, although not near as frequently, as my vegetables, fruit and everything else. And my physical activity reflects that philosophy also. I am not an exercise person by nature, but run or bike fairly often. My wife actually ENJOYS running (she's weird!), and my kids think a house without at least one permanent pull-up bar is not fully furnished

My work keeps me physically active, but when I turned 50 I made the choice to do it intentionally. Still not regularly, but intentionally. Choosing to see the doctor -- now that's one area that could probably be ramped up a bit ...

Alas my spelling mistake was a genuine error, which left the dilemma of being corrected by a more informed linguistical type than I or risking boring readers with an inflicted second dose of poetic dribble. I cheese to adept da succumb aption an corect my smelling missnake.

I am very pleased to hear there is another specimen of male fitness out there. With Jerry that makes three of us who are shining examples to our fellow members of the male species. As you say, everything in moderation (except smoking, which serves no benefit at all).

I also agree with you, running is not pleasurable, it is just something I do to keep fit. But I do feel better after a good run. Much prefer cycling and the hound gets to come too.

I know the feeling. Just think of it as the solar panel for the brain box an indication that we are in fact two wise middleaged specimens of masculinity, especially when compared to our less folliclely challenged colleagues . After all "grass does not grow on a busy street".
