Perfect place for a mosquito detective!
I know one mosquito who bites to irritate.
And bites
And bites
And bites

Mosquitos bite back!!!!!

Very true. But Mosquitos bite for dietary sustainence, where as the Old Triber horse bites because it does not like anyone looking in it's mouth and asking who is controlling the bit in the mouth.

Or put another way. A mosquito bites to survive, while the horse bites survivors.

Therefore I feel I can forgive the mosquito, but don't feel I should forgive the horse.

From my childhood onwards I've been constantly told that the only way to true happiness is to subscribe to the narrow band of christianity that is NTM and similar groups. Anyone who claimed to be in a happy state, but did not subscribe to the former, was labeled as not being truly happy.
The last time I heard this nonsense was two weeks ago.

It got me thinking about the first time we met a NTM missionary. I remember sitting in the hospital grounds while my father went to visit him. The grounds were lovely, a soothing environment for the residents of the psychiatric hospital. How one is supposed to be truly happy, while suffering from severe depression is beyond me, but it is no doubt one of the anomalies of NTM that my simple mind cannot comprehend.
The second NTM missionary (or it may have been the third) was instrumental in recruiting my parents into NTM. I'm not sure he was filled with happiness either, as he was unable to return to the field because of "mental health" issues (actually he was in jail, which isn't quite the same) some years latter.

Happiness is a state of mind that comes and goes for most of us. It can be present in any of us and is not restricted to the few of any particular religious persuasion.

That should have been the wake-up call, shouldn't it!

One NTMer in a mental institution, and the other in jail.

But no ... one must press on ... there is joy in serving Jesus. Etc., etc.

Mosquitos bite perpetrators and coverup operators
After they are full.
Then they have to vomit afterwards.
But the bite still stands
At least.
Not a pleasant job!
Actually it makes me sick.

Take these antibiotics and call me in the morning
Ring if you suddenly get worse
All join us in the chorus
"Trust me, I'm a nurse"

Too right, it should have been a wake up call, as should have been the dire warnings of friends and family.
But oh no, on we forged. The wake up bell was seen as part of the challenge and challenged we had been. Onward christian soldiers we pressed on, into the battle. And even when it was blatantly obvious that some of the fellow troops weren't fighting on the same side and many were just on the battle front to eat their play lunch, we forged on.
And now the troops have retired from the battle, but relive the glory days in discussions with anyone who was also there or anyone who will listen. The blood and guts are glorified, the victims just a sacrifice that warrants no compassion, the fallen are either heros or good riddance, depending on their rank. Those that dared to be war correspondents and report the tragedy of the battle are traitors and will be punished by God Himself.

Oh that the warning bells had been heeded. So much destruction could have been avoided.
