Oh Dear Bemused, I am so, so sorry to hear what has happened in New Zealand. Just got back home to catch up with the shocking news. Such a peaceful beautiful little country to have someone kill so many people. I see the bastard is an Australian, why am I not shocked????
I just wish that those Tribers we knew when we were much younger could see the devastation that such hatred can cause, but I think we both know that they will never change!!!!

Thank you Deja do. This has been a shocking tragedy for a little country to have 50 people killed while they worshiped. Alas one of them was a colleague of mine who I worked with for several years, he was a gentle kind cardiologist and we often passed the time away talking when it was quiet on the ward.

What has been staggering is the outpouring of love and care by Kiwis of all walks of life, color and faith for our Muslim countryfolk and how much of the world has sat up and taken note of how it has drawn a nation together, instead of dividing it as the terrorist intended. Although I am not usually patriotic, I feel truly fortunate to live in a society where hatred and rascism can be overcome.

It has just been announced that Cat Stevens (now known as Yusaf Islam) will be singing at the memorial service on Friday. He is one of my favourite singers, hopefully it is televised, as I won't be able to attend.

New Zealand has shown us a better way to respond to tragedy and gun violence.

We grieve with you, Kiwis, and we thank you for inspiring us with your unity and compassion.

It is very sad that you actually knew one of the victims personally, Bemused ..... that makes this so much harder for you. The community has lost a talented physician. It is so senseless.

When will hatred cease???

Very hard and very sad, Bemused!
So many senseless crimes against people happening in our world.
And so many families with broken hearts. :(

Hatred can only rise, if we remain sitting.

You don't fool anyone, Kiwi Bemused.

You've been flying ever since you hit this Forum.

Especially on this poetry thread, which now has received 490,810 views!!

At 500,000 me thinks I will wander off into the sunset and lay my digits to rest. It's been a long fascinating journey.

S*&t, should have read this before I posted the last ones, wondered where you went.

Go in peace my friend, you have done more than anyone will ever know to help other MKs!!!!!

You have put those who call ourselves "christians" to shame with your kindness and understanding!!!!!

Thank your for making me laugh, thank your for being a shoulder to cry on, thank you for helping me understand that none of this was my fault, thank you for showing me that there are still beautiful people in this beautiful world, who do not hate and who do not judge based on accidents of birth. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!

Deja Do, flying high and sober, over and out :D

Flying high, and flying sober!

Thanks for this, Deja Do ... so proud of you and how well you're doing.

I feel somewhat nostalgic about the "glory days" of the Fanda Eagles Forums.

But I am really happy to know many of us are doing well, and flying high. I hope the camaraderie we once found here on this site contributed to our well being.
