Drink the Jesus Juice prescribed For only He can set thee free Then dose up on the modern tools Of healing Trinity Get thyself a lawyer A Therapist to probe thy mind And I recommend my self help book In all good book stores thee will find And that is how healing comes If we swallow the mission line Take your dose of bitter medicine And all will heal with time Now I am not educated I have no PHD But it sounds a load or rubbish To the mind of me It sounds jingoistic "I love you, now piss off" "The Unsaved are our burden Do not stand there, ahem and cough" So take a little journey into the mind Of the abusers neurologic soup What made them who they was Why he joined the Triber group Journey to the centre See the unholy mess Then if it all makes sense The hate it will confess Hand up the gun They'll shot themselves in the foot And all the people will gather To see the holy soot Now my life is empty Abuse is dead and I am free No one can any longer torment The mind of humble me As I say above I'm uneducated type of fool And this could all be dismissed As the ravings of the misplaced tool But what if I am not wrong Do we throw innocent lives away Condemn them to be eternal victims Of those who search and prey? |

They put us in our box, they did They threw away the key They never asked our name, alas For we were not as good you see They only saw no beauty That was skin deep and that is all And they chopped us off at our knees So we would not walk so tall The respect they demanded We gave it, least we be beat And they fed us the awful Kool Aid In the dreadful tropic heat But we hobbled on our stumpy legs And learnt to fly again So now we can look down and laugh At those evil, nasty, men |

Yes, you are flying now! I am still amazed at the journey of the past 10 years .... or rather, the flight of the past 10 years. Amazing. |

Holy Cow, has it been 10 years already? How time flies. I knew I was coming up to 8 years this October, but didn't realise it had been 10. Now my good friend Raz. Someone asked me the other day, "Bemused, what would you change if you had a chance to run your life again", so me thinks, "write this as a poem and see what the learned masses think". Answers on the back of a weetbix packet and send to . . . . "What if" all the natives Lived not that far away Then missionaries could stay at home And not give and go and pray "What if" all the MKs Never went to Boarding School And burped out at graduation Wise, unhurt and tall "What if" our paths Had never met on foreign fields And Bible drill was just a game Of spears and little shields "What if" I ask myself An old question with familiar ring But then I think the answer is Probably not a thing |

Ten years ago, Kari and Bonnie established this website. One by one, we joined them in their eagle flight ..... there was a time when the sky seemed full of MKs and their supporters, gliding and swooping on the air currents, calling out to one another, "Me too! me too!" As time went by, the skies felt emptier .... eventually I could only see a couple of other eagles continuing to circle and dive ..... And then ... and then, the airwaves shuddered with the broadcast of five adult MKs who came together to tell their stories of abuse and mistreatment. The Fearless Five .... their voices reached the ears of ten million people or more. Their tears were seen around the world. The skies are full again. |

CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! Fly across the sky! Dip and dive and dart Holding head up high. Bonnie said 2010 Would be a year alive With success and Something old would die. GRACE! GRACE! GRACE! Darkness took a hit From the truth of this report Disintegrating bit by bit The quilt that covered up Atrocities still unlit Shining light on That muddy, murky pit. HOPE! HOPE! HOPE! It is not too late-- Let justice fall down Everywhere at a heady rate-- TV/ Radio/ Blogs Any social media slate Can turn the tables. I. Can't. Wait. |

The M.K. Prayer Dear Lord, give me some words To put my story on screen Let them be kind To those who will them be seen But Lord, let them be true Warts and all For some will be offended And some will appall Lord, help me to understand Those who will scream "delete" Who will look at them and hate What they dare not repeat God, help them mirror As accurate as I dare What is my story Warts all and fear Finally, Almighty Should we hear yelled "fake news" Please forgive the anger At such narrow views |

Oh Dear Bemused, I am so, so sorry to hear what has happened in New Zealand. Just got back home to catch up with the shocking news. Such a peaceful beautiful little country to have someone kill so many people. I see the bastard is an Australian, why am I not shocked???? I just wish that those Tribers we knew when we were much younger could see the devastation that such hatred can cause, but I think we both know that they will never change!!!! I'll send you more news in an e-mail, sorry haven't been in touch for ages, been away on working assignments. And really love the MK prayer, so touching. Much love. S |

Deja do! It's lovely to see you here again! I too have been deeply saddened to hear the tragic news from NZ. So sad for all the victims of the massacre at the mosques, and for their loved ones. Sometimes it's really hard to find joy in a world where hatred and bigotry seethe everywhere. Even the good people in peaceful Kiwiland are not spared. So very sad. Things have gone pretty quiet here. It's not that MKs aren't communicating with one another. But I think the venue for that connectedness has moved elsewhere. Anyone who thinks MKs don't care anymore about all who have been deeply wounded during their childhoods on the mission field would be very mistaken. |
