I am so glad our Prime Minister has consented with some pressure to conduct a royal commission into sexual abuse. The opposition said they would agree if it would cover all sexual abuse crimes in all organizations and not just the Catholic church. That made me so glad. I am wondering how they will know to include NTM which I realize from Bemused is now called Crossview. Any suggestions? Full stop.

My Dear Pamela, you've missed all the fun. Bemused got fed up waiting for a reply to his polite inquiries to "Crossview Australia", about matters previously posted, so he wrote to the Minister of Justice with his concerns that "Crossview Australia" was becoming an isolated cult and would not deal with their involvement of the historical sexual abuse scandal.
Two weeks ago I received a reply that my concerns had been taken seriously and passed on. Then bingo the scope of the inquiry is suddenly widened from just the Catholic Church to as we now know, other religous organisations.
Interesting coincidence? The straw that broke the camels back? Who knows, but maybe just maybe there is a correlation and we are unlikely to ever know.
When you have your weekly cup of tea with Julia, please pass on our warmest congratulations for her courage, mention again "Crossview Australia" and explain to her why she is being bombarded with e-mails of support from so many MKs and their supporters .

P.s. "Has consented with some pressure", a very important line. See politicians do listen, but only if they are told what they should do, clearly and loudly .

Thanks Bemused, we were in Sydney all week without internet. We paid so much for the room and parking I put my foot down and said to myself, "I am not going to pay them for internet so we went without, but it sure was hard." Funny, I told my husband I wonder if Bemused has something to do with this. I am just so relieved they are going to check into all sex crimes, even the Aboriginal areas are full of it and I guess that is a sensitive topic and the opposition is adamant that all abuse should be included in the Royal Commission, sure hope so. Full stop.

Wrote PM Julia Gillards last night. Will wait and see if I get a response.
