It has become hard to know what to believe anymore pertaining to NTM's investigation of itself. Something that should have been relatively straight forward has become convoluted, distorted and incredibly slow. Of course for every action and inaction there will be a concocted reason of excuse. But the facts will always remain the same:

1) We were innocent child victims of crimes committed by NTM members.

2) Those crimes were known about by "leadership" and covered up.

3) The results of 1) and 2) have had devastating long term effects upon many MKs.


The longer this drags on, the more ill feeling toward NTM will be generated. A select few will be well paid for their "legal services", but the majority will become disillusioned, including members of NTM who are asking questions, some of these will no doubt leave.

And all of this could have never occurred if brave men had dealt with paedophiles properly all those decades ago! Or mentally perverted men and women had not been allowed to serve with NTM in the first place.

Along those lines, this quote showed up in my Facebook feed today:

Over two months have passed since I received the notice from Tibby with which I started this thread: the notice that Pat Hendrix was being replaced by Theresa Sidebotham as coordinator of IHART.

Two months. Since Nov. 6, 2014, I have received no further communication, from Tibby, or from Theresa, or from anyone else representing NTM. I was not sent official word about the new IHART website. Theresa has not introduced herself to me or shown any interest in communicating with me, or in posting any sort of introduction on Fanda Eagles the way Pat did years ago.

In NTM's Nov. 6 notice, they took pains to point out that Ms Sidebotham is an MK, that she and her husband were missionaries, and that their children were MKs. They said she "understands abuse issues and protecting children".

NTM said they believed having Ms Sidebotham coordinate the IHART process was the best path forward. They wrote that she would be able to:

1. provide new avenues of communication
2. implement current best practices standards
3. ensure the privacy of those who have entrusted their stories to IHART

I assumed that "providing new avenues of communication" would somehow involve some type of communication. Sooner, rather than later.

I have yet to see any evidence that this major change in IHART has anything to do with care and concern for the needs of adult MKs. Call me skeptical. Five years of waiting on NTM to do the right thing have made me this way.

My fellow MKs, I have not read or heard anything that gives me any indication that the new coordinator of IHART was selected in order to help ensure that our voices are heeded.

On the contrary, I think this change was made for one primary reason: PROTECTION of NTM. That is Scott Ross' job. And his friend Theresa Lynn Sidebotham, Esq. is now securely positioned to help him do it.

And all that lovely money that the Faithful have given to the Fearless to reach the Fallen, will instead be finding it's ways to support Lawyers defending Lies and Liabilities.
