Death Undone What a tug-of-war is death for us, losing on this side. The slow steady Pull we, constantly, fight to stop. Oh for some strong warrior king, his armies to march against, conquering this fearsome foe, pulling, pulling, ever pulling more. Oh for a day when we look at the grave and laugh in mockery at empty pits of dirt and rocks — stolen spoils, left but to death soiled rags—those scattered grave clothes, clinging on no bones, no hair, no more rotting flesh. Oh for that day! when death, cast from his throne, no longer litters the earth with caskets or chisels bleached head stones. But Pull—I Pull! Against his grip that takes loves and dearer lives than mine. Oh Warrior King, this conquering you’ve finished seems undone for us in time. But Still. Still! I still will trust – You alone. For when comes my time’s end, You will collect my bones. For death will lose another prize, his work undone—I, free from him, will rise to death’s undoer, My Warrior King. Forever in Your life, I sing. aa 9.18.00 |

Well said, Sherpa Dude! The trials you have faced have made you a good Sherpa, able to guide others over the same terrain. |

Sweet words. Sweet Jesus. My sweet Lord. I love just snuggling close to him, and yes, all the time I ask him to show me the world ... and the people in it ... through his eyes. When you're seeing through his eyes, there is no room for bitterness, vindictiveness or unforgiveness. There is also no sympathy for hypocrites, Pharisees, and wolves in sheep's clothing. It's okay to get mad about that, and pull out your whip and start thrashing it around! I have been thinking a lot about something a friend said recently: Why did we used to think that expulsion from New Tribes Mission was adequate punishment for pedophiles?? God help us!! How could we have possibly thought that getting kicked out of our mission was the worse fate anyone could suffer?? But I do remember feeling that. When you saw someone's name in Family News, under "Dismissed, not in fellowship", oh my! Their goose was cooked! They must have done something really really bad! Yes! They did! They molested their own children! They raped other people's children! They sodomized tribal boys! How, in God's name, could we not have been more furious about that? Why were these people expelled from The Family but still allowed to run away free to continue their rampage elsewhere?? I cannot believe it now. Cannot believe it. I am sick about it. |

Well said Raz! What on earth was wrong with us that we didn't wonder if the abuser would also go to jail? Why didn't we ask about it? |

When I get to heaven and the Chief of the Guaicas Roberto, his deputy Cantoario and hundreds of their tribesmen welcome me home, all of my years of suffering will be turned to GREAT joy!!! |
