On behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her "loyal" subjects, Bemused would like to wish those celebrating the 4th of July as Independence from British tyranny a Happy Holiday.
Her Majesty wishes to convey a message of forgiveness to the former colonists who seceded from the loving embrace of Mother England over 200 years ago.

A message from Her Majesty:

"My husband and I are missing your posts this holiday season. Each morning while one is partaking of tea and toast in ones royal bedchamber, the butler brings in ones laptop so that one can be updated on the words of wisdom that eminate from our dear friends on Fanda Eagles.
One does so much look forward to seeing further posts, as do many of ones loyal subjects. While one does appreciate that the 4th of July is a momentous day in the former colony, please consider the masses who are awaiting ya all (oops British accent slipped) to return."

Hi there you three! Bemused, Mrs., Canine! Yes, it has been quiet on here--sorry about your entertainment options.

I hear that the highways around the beaches have been horrible. I just spent all of my future income on getting a new A/C compressor for my car, which included four separate days spent at the auto shop. Went to see Les Miserables Wednesday night--snuck in on a student discount, at our local Fulton Theater. My canines are grateful the fireworks appear to be over for awhile.

I'm in love with another kiddo. She's lighting up my life.

I'm thinking about ambiguities lately--how's it's used to keep us from action steps. How other people's opinions can derail you--so Brene Brown had a suggestion--take a tiny card, and write down a short list of the names of the people who's opinion really, really, matters. To you . . .that you have access to, that is in the arena with you, not just one who critiques . . .Filter out the rest of the proferred opinions--especially the snarky comments, the people who never get you, the only negative or only positive ones . . .then redirect yourself back to the list when you are feeling vulnerable.
