You are pure gold, Sherpa.
And to think you once thought about disappearing from the forums.
PTL for each one here.
And Happy New Year!

Quoting Paul "Where sin did abound, grace did much more abound ." Oh what an awesome display of the boundlessness(?) of God`s grace. Thank all of you for allowing me to be a part of this. HAPPY NEW YEAR my fellow survivors!!!

Happy New Year. When I hear this song I think of my MK family. Much love.

Though I have never posted a reply on these forums/website, I can honestly say that I have read every single word from "cover to cover" if you will since the day the report came out. I have shed so many tears, felt so much anger, identified with so many of your stories. I have my own as a child but it did not involve an NTMer though I was an NTMmk for my first 18 years. More hard, horrible things as an adult but I think that's probably true for most folks. I really just wanted to communicate my thanks for your willingness to "stick it out there". I know just how easily it can get chopped off by those who choose (yes, choose) not to believe or want to look the other way. There is always much sacrifice in defending the truth but Jesus did not promise us that this life would be easy, really just the opposite. I figure if I lose anything in the fight for right, then that is the least of what I can give back to my Heavenly Father. Your relentless quest to cling to Christ has been a blessing to me personally. Thank you.

When every step is so hard to take
And all of my hope is fading away
When life is a mountain that I cannot climb
You carry me
Jesus carry me

You are strength in my weakness
You are the refuge I seek
You are everything in my time of need
You are everything
You are everything I need

When every moment is more that I can take
And all of my strength is slipping away
When every breath gets harder to breathe
You carry me
Jesus carry me

I need You
You are everything I need
I love everything about You
You are strength in my weakness
You are the refuge I seek
You are everything in my time of need
You are everything
You are everything I need

Everything I Need, by John Micah Sumrall and Dave Lubben

Oh, Sherpa ...
Hurting so much for you .. What can I say?
Everything you say is true. Your greatest pain was caused by the people you love the most.
And that's the hardest thing to write/talk about.
You're right in your observation that that is a topic that seems taboo on here.
I guess because most of us feel our parents couldn't handle the pain of knowing how much they hurt us.
We still love them no end, and of course we don't want to hurt them.
But they did hurt us. a LOT.

The greatest contribution we can make to the world is the love we have to pour on the next generation. I pour it out liberally ... all over my children and grandchildren.
Unequivocally. Unconditionally.

I'm not in the cult anymore.

Look at your precious little boy. And live.

Spring will come.

You are loved. May that keep you going. Another breath. Another step.

Sherpa, Psalm 66 tells of our woes in life and the last two verses 19 20. But verily God hath heard me,He hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God,which hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.
I pray that God will grant you mercy, grace and peace.

Sherpa - Larry Crabb says something along the lines that anyone who lives with authenticity faces depression. He also says the more real we become the more we realize we are built for the Garden of Eden or heaven. Living where we don't belong and the longing for what we are built for is pure tension. Can't get back into the Garden of Eden and can't get into Heaven until He says so.

Please know we care and love you and need you here.
