Thank you, flyer80, for your courage.
May many blessings follow your brave decision.
As those who resigned close to retirement----we can say
that the Lord has blessed us time after time and given us
freedom to work in a way we never had in ntm.
We still process the absolute wrongness of child abuse
and adult missionary abuse in ntm. How can others
continue on without dealing with it?
We each have our decisions to make
and our own consciences to deal with.

A New Zealand highly qualified judge has been appointed to head an investigation into child abuse within the British Parliament in the 1980's.

The first two appointments did not proceed because of conflicts of interest, but an appointment from remote NZ has been widely welcomed.

What is interesting is that the judge is female and will be investigating what must be one of the worlds best known "old boy networks".

The world is becoming a much smaller place with the international cooperation. And we have much to appreciate with the efforts of ICE, the Australian Govt Inquiry and other agencies who are stepping up their efforts to clean up the mess of the past.

Yes, we do have much to appreciate!

It is a bright new day. Those who tell themselves that yesterday's standards are appropriate measures of how today's adults feel about child abuse in all its forms are seriously underestimating the seriousness with which the crimes of the past are presently viewed.

We've heard this before, but it's worth repeating.

Drive a spoke in the wheel and the wheel stops long enough for the spokesman to be replaced by a spokeswoman and the men to suffer amnesia. Then the wheel starts turning again but often in a different direction.

general public as in
supporters
churches
parents of abused mks
friends and families of mks
fellow mks
I'm sure I have missed some.
Just making the report public when finished---if ever finished--
would help the situation.
And instead of reinventing the wheel---
I'm sure ihart could have taken a short course from GRACE
and been done with writing by now.
