You could try setting boundries, i.e. saying that there are topics or areas that you don't want rehashed each time you meet.
You could state bluntly that you are not a mission field waiting to be converted or readmitted to the fold, but an independent person with their own thoughts between their ears.
Only as a last resort cut off contact, that is a hard road to take and the blame will land squarely where you don't want it.
Or you could have a long holiday in New Zealand, where we have a lovely selection of postcards that could be mailed home with a message like "gone to see Bemused, Husband and Bemused gone fishing and getting along like a house on fire. Mrs Bemused is the sane one. Be back in a couple of months"
