Yes! Where is PNG?! Speaking of which... we are attempting to put together a time line on Jim Givens abuse. If anyone knows the dates/years they were in Africa before he retired can you drop me a PM....we know there will be more victims there.

They are going to interview leader's from the eras specific to the abuse....what a joke. They were the ones involved in the cover ups! That we definately know....myself personally You think they are going to be honest now....yeah right?! They were all watching each others backs and particularly the pedophiles.

I am sure now(they said themselves) that we can safely say that nothing apart from another REPORT is going to be written on each countries abuse. Disciplinary action.. thats and even bigger joke.....more than half of them have left NTM/Retired and once again NTM are as good as telling us they will not involve law enforcement agencies. As I said anyone can throw money at an expensive public relations excercise which in the end will acheive nothing for the victims but have NTM looking like hero's . Pedophiles will flock to NTM and other organizations(as they always have) knowing that the worst that will happen if they are outed is a that someone will shuffle some papers and write REPORTS. WABJ

If I could take my abuser to court I would but logistics don't help....hope is never lost. That is the only way I can see any of the victims seeing justice or being validated. In the end how are we victims going to feel after everything we have been through with NTM when they proudly announce to the world that they wrote some REPORTS...devastation comes to mind?. Once again NTM will have a reason for justifying why they have lied, cheated, stalled and played shuffle the pedophile.......we did interviews and wrote some reports as penance.

I foresee in some months ahead when these reports are published victims requiring an increase in the hours of therapy/support they may require as they would have once again been told by NTM...your abuse was not significant enough to do anything more than write a REPORT. If you are expecting anything more to come from the whole excercise you will be VERY disappointed. It's the NTM of old so nothing has changed, this whole excercise is being used to take some of the heat of NTM.

At the end of the day Jane Doe No.7 will be one of the very few who knows/feels.....she won...because she did. How many of us will be able to say that when these REPORTS come out?

I forgot to say......When we are devastated at the end of the day, when the Reports come out and NTM again has done little to aid in getting our list of abusers to prison you may be angry enough to decide it's time to take NTM to court. Keep in mind that the NTM lawyers will now have the stories/details you gave them of your abuse to use against you in court. You think NTM is above that sort of behaviour?...they will throw you to the wolves(lawyers).....just as they did to Jane Doe No.7. So keep in mind at the end of this excercise(investigations) NTM is going to bury any cases that victims will try to bring against them regardless of insuring that they make sure they have their morning devotions every day.

I would be interested in knowing what the succession of Principals at Numonohi (PNG) was. Jim Finnamore was there when I was there, was he then followed by Brian Shortmeier?

Brian Shortmeier is of course the person who wrote the above letter, which doesn't mention PNG.

I would also be interested in hearing from any one who suffered abuse in the Dodd dorm, please feel free to send a personal message.

I think we can now safely assume that NTM Australia is deliberately not answering any queries due to the amount of culpability they will have to wear if the whole truth were to come out about the amount of abuse committed in PNG and the cover up thereof.
The right to remain silent of course remains a choice they may opt to take. However they must then bear the consequences of actions taken by victims and their families in bringing to justice those responsible for what is fast becoming a long list of criminal offending.

I would be interested to know if the abuse committed in Dodd dorm was also against non American children.

We lesser beings...non American children in PNG came in for most of the abuse from what I am finding out.

Is NTM writing a new policy on Racism for NTM? The racism I experienced in NTM was the worst ever in my life....the color of my skin didn't have anything to do with it. It was totally acceptable for Dorm parents, teachers and students to abusive lesser beings.

I had a fellow student humilate me constantly and loudly on a bus trip to and from the Goroka with the teacher and driver sitting silently in the front. This was a minivan....not a double decker.

This same teacher ignored the hand of a fellow non - NTM student which had been put up in class as he needed to go to the toilet. I watched at age 8 as the boy next to me fought tears......the hand he held aloft becoming more frantic as she piously ignored him.

She caused him to soil himself......

Today as a grown women of children I have the burning desire still to slap this teacher.....how dare she!

Louis Dodd was a sadist, who bragged about the pleasure he got out of beating children. He bragged to other children about his exploits.

I had similar experiences as Radioshack. It was day after day of discrimination and adults closing a blind eye to the beatings.

I am white, not all Kiwis are. I thought my life was hell at Numonohi, imagine what it was like for a mixed race child who was not from the U.S., when racism is being taught in the school by the likes of Jim Finnamore and the only people saying "this is wrong" are one kiwi kid and those who are not white.
Jim Finnamore, Jim Given and a few others badly tarnished the good name of Americans. I sincerely hope NTM thoroughly investigates how rascists like this were ever allowed on the mission field, let alone be able to preach their message of hate!

Help! The Price sisters must have been sadists as well! If I failed a test, was tardy(due to doing morning dorm dishes), or got a low grade on my report card they made the most of being able to give me a good thrashing with a "paddle".

They were probably much like the miserable and bitter nuns of old.

Between the abuse I was suffering in the dorm and at school I didn't have a chance. It was a very vicious cycle.

I've always wondered how the missionaries of Jewish or Italian origin were treated in PNG...there was far to big a representation of "missionaries" from the old South in NTM...and especially PNG. Most of the missionaries were racist to varying degrees, the ones from the south were outright criminal.

Please we beg of you, bear with us downunder MKs. We are in an impossible situation.

We were abused because we were different. Our dealings with NTM have resulted in our families being dismissed from NTM and their houses stolen. Many were left destitute. Female MKs were sexually abused because they were easy targets and would not be defended. Male MKs were beaten so severely that they have permanent disabilities. Now some of our parents don't give a stuff what happened, they are angry we are fighting for justice, some of our parents could be implicated in the abuse saga, so it is in their best interest this is kept quiet. NTM Australia refuses to answer any e-mails.

And now we are being asked to trust IHART, with the track record that we have with NTM, that is a very big leap of faith, for those who have lost faith completely. What we are worried will happen is that IHART will take our statements, then dump us back on NTM Australias doorstep. To be blunt, Australia does not want to deal with this problem, they don't want to know, they do not care. So while others who get some settlement and resolution, we Downunder are predicting that we will be left in the cold.

And who will care?
