Sorry, ignoramous at the bottom of the world is wondering why a mission needs a "director of corporate security" and what exactly that job entails?
And since when did missions become corporations?
I'm obviously behind the times.

I don't know much about SEND International. Just what I read by googling their website. Looking at the list of countries they work in, I can see that they would have a need for some security.

The world of missions has indeed changed a lot since you were a kid, Bemused. (And I am NOT implying you are old! )

Many really big changes, just in the past 10 years or so.

Remember when the IHART people went all the way down to Brazil and most people they wanted to interview were not there?

The pcusa investigation Pat was involved in took 7 years. 7 years.

From the pcusa report: Over nearly seven years, the panel met one long weekend each month to investigate 131 reports involving 81 possible victims and 47 alleged offenders at mission schools in Cameroon, Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Mexico, Pakistan, Kenya, Zambia and Thailand.

In Pat's own words, "I have participated in the Child Abuse Investigation Training course put on by the Child Safety Protection Network, and attended a number of abuse training sessions put on by other groups. "

The Child Safety Protection Network is Scott Ross's organization. So, Pat Hendrix was trained by Scott Ross, an NTM lawyer, to investigate abuse in NTM. How is this in any way an "independent" review? I say it's immoral.

The methods used here are stall and drag your feet until no one remembers and are too weary to care anymore.
