Can anyone tell me who the current leadership of NTM is? I thought that the whole EC was forced to resign and have never been able to find out who is in leadership now. If you go on NTM.org you can't even tell that their is a change in leadership. Since we are no longer members we don't have this privileged information.

There is currently no Executive Committee. Each country that is functioning as a sending organization has its own executive board so the NTM-USA, NTM Canada, NTM UK, NTM Australia, etc each have their own leadership structure. Fields operate the same way.

Input is given/shared but there is no such thing as an NTM International. That is something that is an inaccuracy in the petition.

Then I honestly don't understand NTM's latest update, specifically "This week, October 12-14, the Executive Board has its normally scheduled Board meetings. We will seek to make some critical decisions and we covet your prayers. One of those critical decisions is how to handle future abuse investigations."

Why is the EB making the decision on how to handle the investigations at other schools, if, as you say, all sending countries and fields have their own leadership? Just trying to make sense of it...

They would be making decisions as it relates to allegations made against NTM-US members serving on a field. Once the field removes the alleged offender from the field, the sending country still has to take action to dismiss from the mission, etc. There are also different responsibilities in reporting.

Its not a big deal to most people but there is a considerable difference in how each sending country deals with issues and as I posted elsewhere on the forum, it is good to be specific as to which NTM organization (out of 40+) you are wanting to see changes made.
Sorry if that is confusing to anyone.

Multiple boards also increases the possibility (probability) of lack of transparency. With so many lines of authority and communication, I cannot see how unilateral, top-down reporting and accountability can be done. This is much too confusing and is somewhat akin to the chart I saw regarding health care "reform".

Any "reform" while keeping the same organizational structure is doomed to fail. Sometimes, the entire organization, top-to-bottom, bottom-to-top, needs a MASSIVE reorganization. Commitment to change occurs when the hard process is actively being done. I don't see that here. It likely isn't going to occur so long as multiple boards control multiple fields, and there is no single policy for dealing with pedophiles and abuse of other nature.

This is a morass that needs to be cleaned up!!!!!!

And who has the authority to restructure the organization?

when I posted I wasn't referring to the petition but to the secrecy. This has been a question of mine since September when I heard that the EC had resigned. Hope I didn't mess up the thread- just throwing stuff out there

The only one who resigned from the Executive Board was Chet Plimpton
