As I read the entries of new loved ones here, I had to change my picture. This is the size my girls were while we were in Panama. The last one was born there. If anyone escaped Panama still feeling like a whole and loved person,,,it is a miracle. The harm done there is very deep. My tiny girls have no idea that we were "visited" 2 and 3 times a week and told that we should be whipping the tar out of them. We were strict and they were disciplined girls...BUT IT WASN'T ENOUGH for them (the visitors). I hope that Maria and MK chame...that the two of you find healing. Our hearts hurt as we see more added to the list of the wounded.

Love your new avatar ... but it brings tears to my ear, seeing those precious little ones and hearing of the pressure put on you to beat them mercilessly.

There is no penalty severe enough for those heartless thugs who forced people to torture children.

No one has the right to use their size and their power to hurt a child so severely!!!

I feel like throwing up.

(I'm not saying you beat them mercilessly, dbarney. I am remembering the teaching we ourselves got. We were TOLD to beat our children mercilessly. I did it to my first child, and I have repented with bitter tears over and over. (And been forgiven by my dear son.) Thank God I'd stopped obeying those monstrous manipulators by the time our other three babies came along.)

Dbarney....thank you for sharing the truth and for allowing us to see your angels! I too cry for the other children when I see pictures of all of us at the young ages we were in Panama. I was never beaten by my offender because my parents were dorm parents. My offender took over Panama because he was requested to come and deal with the "unruly" children. He dealt with me first......had to get the "bad girl" out of me he said. So God would come into my heart!

I often feel if I just could have been better or allowed him, others would be ok today. Throuugh the help of all of you continuing to be strong, tell your stories and show me I am good, I am recovering and progressing in my journey.
