When I found out about the investigation into Via, my heart sank on finding out it wouldn't be GRACE (and like, I think it was sitting duck said - why? they did a good, gracefilled, honest job with Fanda) but I wanted to close my eyes and wish - and it was wishful thinking. I've been out of it for a while but am aware of the new plan of Pat Hendrix rather than GRACE in taking over the next investigations. I was surprised, disappointed, and confused by NTM's choice. As one to be questioned regarding my school, I would have liked to have input like the Fandaeagle kids. Play fair. Why were we not consulted???? Why not continue with an organization who gave a fair, thorough report? What is the reason?

On the Pat side there is word that they have personnel on their teams who are law enforcement, whereas GRACE did not. (Or perhaps GRACE does and I am unaware.) Will Pat's teams find a way to deal with some issues with the law? We want that don't we? GRACE did not do that. GRACE and NTM simply retroactively dismissed people. Big deal. Really. Not that impressed by that. OK, the truth being exposed was right and way past due. GRACE got to the bottom, but I wonder if Pat's teams will go a step further.

Also, regarding all those posts recommending us writing to GRACE, what good really would that do? Their hands are tied. They are not being paid to read our stuff, so although their hearts are crying with/for us, they can do nothing to help us.

should we write to Pat? In spite of the server being NTM? I think that was the point of the old posts of writing to GRACE - in case they were invited to investigate.

My opinion about the new investigation: Someone mentioned recently about how back when GRACE was first chosen for the Fanda investigation, there was a lot of stir about it on this forum, and many were not supporting that decision and didn't trust GRACE (I haven't read back that far). I think it's the same thing again, with a couple extra things against this investigation: MKs don't appear to have been involved in the choice; and the NTM server was used to store emails to Pat (which are both big problems at the very beginning of this investigation). Big problems, but can we move on?

I for one want the investigations to move forward and not be held up - I want them to get to my school, which is evidently going to be awhile (too many abuse cases there, too many abusers, it's going to be a big project)! We can make these investigations be about the MKs healing and about exposing what really happened. We are not helpless, we are not powerless. We can prevent these investigations from being about protecting NTM, if that is the intention, as some of you seem to think (I have not seen evidence of that, so am not leaning that way in my thinking).

Contact Pat! Let her know how serious we are! Let her know how bad it was! Keep letting her know! Don't give up! I think as teams are formed who will be doing the investigations, it will eventually be the team that is investigating our particular school that we will have the most contact, not Pat. But for now, it's Pat. Ask for the names of those Pat is working with on this (advisory committee) and for the names of the investigators on each team. Stay involved. If it really turns out that NTM is being protected and the true abuse facts don't come put publicly, we can deal with it!

Making decisions without input may be a trademark of nto.
Unless it's the input that will produce the results they are looking for.
Whoever is not part of the Group Think, will not be asked for input.
No matter what experience they may have.
Or whether they USED to be part of the Group Think and are now committing a faux pas.
No faux pas allowed.
Not even if they are really good independent thinkers.
It's a pretty closed system.
