If Bemused is put in Intensive Care due to being group hugged, the wrath of the Sisterhood will be unleashed. Bemused has been trained to cook, clean, nurse, cater to every whim and wish. Such male specimens are hard to find, especially at Christmas and it is to late to organise another fine specimen of maledom .

If we both run 5km a day and you go Southwest and I go Northeast, we should meet up in about 2026, at which point we will be considerably older and hopefully a little wiser. We could then shake hands and run back home again, by which time the Resthomes will be waiting for us and we will have some explaining to do to our respective other halves .

Seriously though, it is Christmas and I do wish to acknowledge the compassion that you have expressed in personal communications between us. I know you are in a difficult position and have loyalties and responsibilities in places that are not easy, but your kindness will not be forgotten and your helping to speak out for others will long be remembered.

I'll sit here by the fire and sip my Kahlua-laced coffee, think peaceful thoughts and gather my strength for the mental marathon that we are continuing to be engaged in.

One thing that helped me with shame was If it was coming from God it would be very specific. It would be about a specific thing I did or didn't do. The shame we often feel and was put on us had no point, there was no way to stop it. We were just shameful. Shame is not bad when it has an object. There are a lot of abusers and cover upers who could use a good dose of it and we could be very specific on why they should be shamed.
