thanks for posting this news. for an indication of what the plaintiffs may argue to overcome NTM's likely motion for summary judgment based on the elapsing of the statute of limitations, go to hermanlaw.com and read paragraph 5 of the "Archdiocese of Denver-Motion to Dismiss/Summary Judgment".

Thai Mk, What I have heard is that there is NO statute of limitations when it comes to an organization covering up child abuse. That is the angle that Mr. Herman is taking in this law suit.

There is no way that I can adequately express how PROUD I am of this mk. She is doing what nobody has ever dared do before. She is so, SO brave. What I hope for her during this process is the largest display of support, ever seen.

I'm sure that the other argument that NTM will raise is that of jurisdiction. They will claim that NTM-USA, currently of Sanford, FL, is not the responsible party in this case and that events in the Philippines cannot be judged in the USA.

But I will wait and see. Perhaps they will man up and do the right thing. More than likely, though, is that they will put up a vigorous defense and do everything they can to discredit the plaintiff.

I am so worried for this mk - I really hope she has a good support team - one thing I've been doing is forwarding this article and the post to the people on my mailing list whom I know will:
1. pray - for both parties, for something divine
2. listen and later do their part in making sure that a discussion about this in missionary circles (we all know what that means) does not fall solidly in the "Satan's attack on NTM" camp.

Courageous Sidewalk MK - I don't know if you've been part of this forum ever and I don't know if all of this has made you believe that God doesn't care, or that he doesn't even exist, but I do (care and exist) and although without God I don't see how that's much comfort, I will be praying for you - you are TRULY brave.

I've been forwarding it with an explanation of my own, verifying the information, so they don't think it's just some invention.

Thank you, Sunshine. I too, am very concerned about what the perception is going to be about this lawsuit. I can just imagine the kinds of things that are being said about it, and about the parties involved.

May the light of truth shine ... quite a bit brighter than it has been so far.
