@Gene - you wrote - This is official correspondence from NTM, Inc.! No apology for issuing an unclear statement. Instead, they blame the readers for speculating greatly with it and making comments that were beyond what NTM intended to say. It's enough to ask us to take them at their word; they have earned our distrust, not our confidence. But, not satisfied with that, they want us to read their minds, understand what they meant, discern what they intended to say? And we "and even GRACE, who investigated the Fanda School," are faulted for their NTM's sloppy communication? The question this raises in my mind is, "Why didn't NTM just say what they intended to say?" They have raised incompetence to new heights, elevated arrogance to the stratosphere. But, at least our prayers are appreciated, just so we are aware.
I didn't read it this way. I don't see an assignation of blame either direction and if there is any, I think they would say it is theirs for not being clear. I read this to say, "we weren't clear" and "many thought we were saying something that wasn't our intent or meaning," even GRACE. Look at it this way. When full of emotions it is hard (impossible?) to think clearly enough to understand someone well. We tend to 'hear' what our emotions are telling us. GRACE doesn't have that, they are more likely to be objective and they also didn't understand. I read this that NTM says, even GRACE didn't understand, we obviously didn't say it well.
When we consider that... we take our thoughts, turn them into words as best we can and say them (in a written format- so missing body language and inflection) and the other person hears/reads those words, translates it to what those words mean to them and within the context of their current life (e.g. woke up on the good side of the bed, just had an argument with the spouse, yelled at by the boss) and association of certain words with certain things because of past experience..., it's amazing we understand each other at all.
Anyway, that's my take.
