Thanks sherpadude! I have been doing a lot of talking with my parents and my sister, along with another MK who lived in the dorm with me. I definitely feel it has been good to talk with someone who was there with me, it has answered some of my questions about it all. I am considering pursuing finding out the answers to a few more questions I have, mostly about why the person who did wrong was allowed back to the field. I have discovered that anonymity is a comfortable place, and asking questions I have will be a big step out of that comfort zone...funny how sometimes it feels better to anonymously stew rather than step out and get answers.

Developing shingles is a testament to how severely the incident effected you in those early days.
There are so many who may think their experiences are insignificant.....I believe sexual abuse is a crime against the soul of the abused.....ALWAYS SERIOUS. Don't ever let the down playing of incident in the past cause you to doubt yourself. These are different days we live in. Chin up

I am sorry to hear that even so long after my time in PNG abuse continued.
