You can help New Tribes Aviation win $10,000
International (MNN) -- A popularity contest is helping aviation mission groups get the support they need. In Lightspeed Aviation Foundation's Pilot's Choice Awards, voters pick a group to win $10,000. If New Tribes Mission Aviation wins, Phil Koop says there's already a place for it. "We're hoping to apply that grant to our helicopter needs...in the Philippines." NTM Aviation provides transportation, supplies, and equipment to missionaries in remote areas. Pilot Brian Schaadt says a helicopter makes perfect sense in the Philippines. "Most of the indigenous people we work with...are in very mountainous remote areas. It's taken very little-to-no work to get a place suitable for landing our helicopter, whereas i t would've taken years, possibly, to build an airstrip...for our aircraft." The deadline is November 1. Bemused, I believe you posted about this contest some months back? I can't find your post now. Didn't you write to Lightspeed Aviation Foundation?
