If I had been a young MK who had taken their own life, I hope that my family and friends would weep, I mean really weep! Weep at the terrible waste! And I would hope that my parents would ask why with all their heart! And if they found out that it was because I had been a victim of abuse, then they would do everything in their power to track down who had done the abuse and make sure they suffered consequences that would makes sure that they never abused another child!

Then and only then could I rest in peace!

I know this is a terrible terrible subject to discuss, but this is reality in cults!

Maybe we can prevent another tragedy by understanding WHY!

I've been reading here for quite awhile. While I'm not a missionary or MK, my heart breaks to read of all the atrocities that have happened and, even worse, the numerous cover-ups undertaken rather than doing the only right thing...turning each and every one of these offenders over to the authorities and cooperating with each investigation to ensure that these wolves in sheep's clothing spend the rest of their lives where they belong - in prison. Even worse is the total lack of concern in so many cases for the victims, may of whom, as has been aptly pointed out, have been given a life sentence without any possibility for parole.

As a Christian man, I am infuriated by the actions and, in so many cases, the lack of appropriate actions, which have contributed to so many lives being needlessly destroyed. God IS NOT pleased. In tears, I stand with each and every one of you in demanding that the many missions, churches, and agencies that have acted in such atrocious ways repent of this and do whatever they can and should to see the perpetrators brought to justice and the victims get the love, support, and counseling they need to help them as much as is possible. The stonewalling, lying, covering up, not caring, or outright ignorance (voluntary and self-induced) simply must stop now.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to read here and get a grasp of what has happened to MK abuse survivors and their supporters. Your observations are astute, and your support is deeply appreciated.

These forums, once very active, have for the most part gone silent. Not because we have run out of things to say, but because we feel we have exhausted our options and lost our hope of ever seeing NTM (now Ethnos360) respond in a moral and Godly way to our issues and concerns.

Your post makes me wonder if there are others out there who are still taking the time to read the many paragraphs we have written here. Perhaps we have not yet reached the end of our journey.

I don't see how any rational human being of either sex could be anything less than infuriated by reading of all the abuse documented on this forum.

So it seems to me that either people are not reading here ... or they're not rational.

It's been a very long and disappointing journey ... I, for one, am depleted and weary ...

I wish you'd been here years ago, when there was a lot of activity here. It would have been really good to have support from someone like yourself, from outside of the NTM world.

Marshmallows? Yes please! Not black, not white ... just a perfect, toasty brown ...
