Wow.

Amen, Bemused. You've said a LOT here.

All I can add is, "Amen".

(Yes, it's Sunday Downunder already.)

Little old ladies
Answering the call of God
Giving their widows mites
To a man rather odd

Son of above
Wrestling with conscience
Trying to reconcile
And of it make sense

Little old ladies
Now long gone to heavens gate
Picking up their crowns
For filling offering plate

Believing they saved souls
In fields of Brown Gold
Never knowing
Twas lies they were told

So many mites wasted
On Evil men who lied
More interested in covering sin
Sins that they claimed their God for died

Decades now passed
Still bothers deep down
That a childhood was funded
On tales of Fields of Brown

Vulnerable old ladies
Going without basic supplies
So they could give to a family
That was living to many lies

Wonder if their families knew
Where their inheritance went
And on what really
It was sadly, badly spent

The smiling prayer card
With "Pray, Give, Go"
Behind MK's smile
Did they really ever know

Little Old Ladies
Pockets not very deep
But fingers were in them
Fingers that secrets keep

Thanks for pointing out this very sad truth, Bemused.

Though I am not an agnostic, it is still impossible for me to reconcile the dissonance in all of this.

Why did God allow sweet, sincere elderly ladies of faith to sacrificially give their money to people who were charlatans and wolves in sheeps clothing?

How can God be okay with that? Because I'm sure not.

Painful to think about. And true.

People and churches sent money to Les Emory too. And to Scott Kennell.

I am thankful that I can say I don't understand, and still be confident that in spite of my questions, God is not mad at me.

In the middle of all the dissonance, He still is. He is still I Am.

This is something I struggle with all the time. I know that God is sovereign and in control. Yet I see all the evil that happens. I can think of the little old ladies and one elderly man who prayed faithfully for me and would send me gifts and cards from time to time. These gifts were sacrifices. I remember them praising the vision of ntm and those of us serving with them. Now aware of all the filthy disgusting crime that went on in ntm and was covered up makes me sick. To add pain to this, I think of the times in training and my time on the field when I was under scrutiny for trivial things that were not crimes such as molesting children. It is all a very sad story and at times depressing. I have asked others for their input. I have asked people who have suffered horrible pain due to others. The only sense I can find in it all is that this world is evil. People are created with free will. Many choose evil and make other's lives hell. I was an adult though when I went through my episodes of hurt in ntm. I was there by choice. Mk's were innocent, vulnerable children. They were there due to their parent's choices. The jerks who molested them are nothing short of evil and disgusting and cowardly.
The horrible thing is that most of them got away with their crimes simply because they were overseas. Why should this be allowed to happen? Why did ntm help the criminals in not exposing them? Why does ntm continue to take cents and dollars from individuals, poor or rich? Why does God continue to bless ntm? I am sure ntm has some briliant sounding answers to this, but in my mind they are just lucky. I am choosing to believe that one day God is going to close their door.

We are in here to right this injustice. Just this one injustice. The injustice of MK's being abused and the ensuing coverup and/or collusion of that injustice. We are our voice and the voice of those who cannot speak. Together we are powerful. However, if we become distracted or guilt-ridden over whether or not NTM has been perpetuating a fraud we become divided and the MK's lose Keep the course. This forum has done immeasurable good thus far. Carry on.

I agree with Raz on this one. A lot of good people got ripped off by charlatans and wolves in sheeps clothing, thinking they were donating to save native souls in places they would fear to tread. Instead they ended up funding perverts, pedophiles, truth shredders and lawyers to fight good people like us who are exposing the truth of what was really going on.
Every ounce of truth we expose is being read and making those who support this cult think that maybe their support would be better placed elsewhere.

Has anything changed? Not likely! Supporting churches will not be being told anything like the truth, abuse will be glossed over and the message of a revamped NTM will be pumped out of pulpits all over the world.

Yes we need to stay focused and part of staying focused is serving up to the blind followers of NTM the whole picture. Rape, Sodomy, Beatings, Mind Control and yes Theft and Fraud. O.k. so some feel a little guilty that they were unwittingly involved in this, that's a sign that they have a conscience, which for a Triber or ex Triber is rare occurrence.

We need to see NTM for what it is and what it isn't. What it isn't is a Godly organisation, what it is, well only God really knows the answer to that one, but most of us have a pretty good idea, from to much personal experience and personal ministry!

Right, have said my piece, anyone else want to venture an opinion :P .

Agreed, Threewillows and Aussie.
No other opinion makes sense to me.
So I hang in here.
And thank the Lord for the others who are here.
And for anyone who reads and is helped.
For anyone who reads and makes a new realization about the truth of the matter.

Waiting for Post # 3,000, Bemused. :D
Not that we are counting.
But that is significant.
And we remember the over 5,000 posts
of the many-faceted Demos,
my friend, OT. :D
And the encouragement and honesty
Of Sherpa Dude who made such a turnaround
From his 1st name.....
Ahhhh....
It has been worth it.
Carry on!

Justice
Not seen
Nor heard

Abused
Even in my dreams

See, THAT scares me!
NOT even at night when I sleep can I be free of my abusers

No end to it.
