Well, for starters, it's hiding the names of the abusers, which pretty much makes it a less than useless song and dance, and an utter waste of time for everyone involved.

SO hard to read this even tho it was expected.
Thank you all for posting even tho it hurts to remember.
Your words are listened to and believed here even tho some days that doesn't help.
I wish I could help all the "even tho's" to go away!

Lafula, you asked: I was told the investigation was completely independent of NTM when I interviewed, but it sounds like IHART is very much connected to NTM now. Does anyone know the real nature of the relationship?"

I've been writing about Scott Ross and CSPN since 2008, and more recently Theresa Sidebotham. Sidebotham authored an article L. Martin Nussbaum titled "Are Protestant Ministries a New Market? Lessons Learned from the Catholic Sexual Abuse Scandal". (Nussbaum is one of the foremost attorneys hired by Catholic dioceses in Colorado when allegations of sexual abuse are brought against them; he's also been used by the Christian and Missionary Alliance). In the article that L. Martin Nussbaum and Theresa Lynn Dixon Sidebotham authored, they had 10 criticisms of GRACE's report into Fanda, including:

2. The report, discussing numerous sensitive personnel issues and naming specific employees, was released simultaneously to the board and the general public. A board should receive such a report confidentially and then decide whether the values in play are best served by public announcements.
Sideobtham and Nussbaum obviously thought NTM should have withheld any information from that didn't serve the "values" of NTM.

IHART is very closely connected with NTM - I don't think it has ever been an arm's length relationship.

I can post some old documents if you'd like..... most are on this Forum so it may not be necessary.

I'm sorry for the additional trauma that Sidebotham's report causes. You all deserve so much more.

If that is what a rep told you, then that sounds like a crazy shuffle dance to avoid giving consequences to anyone. If you look on the NTM USA website, you will see many, many people on there who are currently working in various countries or areas of the world. But they are still listed on that website as being NTM USA members. So if that rep told you differently, I honestly think they were being misleading.

It was my impression that the people who are not accountable to NTM USA are missionaries like Germans, who are under NTM Germany, Brits, under NTM UK, Aussies, under Crossview, etc. But if you are a US citizen, and you are serving in another country like the Philippines, you are still a member of NTM USA, and are still under the oversight of the NTM USA Executive Board.

This nonsense has been going on for some time now. I have an e-mail from Crossview Australia strongly denying their link with NTM. Yet on their website one of their members is the govt rep in PNG. It's just more smoke, mirrors and lies.

After reading the Panama Report I can state it much more briefly than they ... "We investigated the allegations and found them to be true. We decided nothing could or should be done further. We are sorry. We are moving on."

It took them 48 pages to say nothing new or substantive.

And whose brilliant idea was it to sprinkle pictures of the crime scene (EHM) throughout the report? Flashbacks, anyone? Maybe whoever does their monthly prayer letters was in charge of creating the format.

We welcome you
We're glad you're back

Then we all sighed heavily
