Bemused, I find that interesting because doesn't the missionary have to give so much $ to NTM. We had $ deducted from our ABWE account each month for the fact we were their missionaries. David recently emailed and asked them how much the missionary now has to support ABWE and to his surprise they answered him, it is $290 a month, $580 a month for a married couple. I think they are responding because they are now under scrutiny. However, David has not received a reply to his request that they clear his name from any accusations that Simms Showers LLP has found about other missionaries besides Jay Walsh that has been involved in sexual abuse. They said no missionary was at this time employed by ABWE that was involved but are either dead, retired, resigned or terminated. Since we were terminated and they wouldn't name the missionaries there were involved he wants his name cleared from this investigation. I am sure he won't let it rest. Full stop. |

Pamela E. Bennett,, with NTM the donations went to the field where the missionary worked. 100 % arrived on the field(unless you asked for some to be taken for insurance etc) Each field took some of that money to help with the flight program, schools or administration. It was not the same on each field.. I think Senegal was 13% while we were there but it was less in other places, it was not a set amount. It really did help the flight program in Senegal. Not everyone used it so it helped to offset the cost for those that depended on it...even tho it ws .5% |

dbarney, Thanks for that info, personally it sounds like a better way but what do I know. I think I assumed ABWE and all mission agency performed the same way. Guess they did on covering up abuse but not the $$ donated. We were told it had to be this way for the IRS in America. Full stop. |

Most other miss grps act like ABWE does. We've been told that the way NTM operates financially is almost illegal. Most miss grps take a %age of the miss support to pay salaries to their head guys. |

Thanks mosquito bite for that tidbit of information. We paid monthly support for, let's see, Dr. Kempton, the president who covered up child abuse, Russ Ebersole, our field boss who covered up child abuse AND anyone who knew about the child abuse in the home office. It certainly wasn't $ well spent. Full stop. |

Matt Cochran lost his battle with cancer this morning. I'm sure his family appreciate all your prayers. Rosie posted this on her FB page today: Words fail at this moment. I could hear Matt's breathing become rattled off and on during the night. At five I still heard him breathing, but at seven when I checked on him his body was here, but his spirit was reunited with his Savior and loved ones who have gone on before. Our tentative plans are as follows, all at Second Baptist Church, 1 N. Herman Ave., Auburn, NY. Calling Hours: Friday, February 1, 2013 at 6PM Memorial Service: Friday, February 1, 2013 at 7PM A fellowship time and refreshments will follow after the service. |

Hello all, I see there have been no posts here recently. For those of you with knowledge of Venezuela, do you know of any cases from the Christiansen Academy in Rubio? Thank you. MB |
