Some of you may have received an email about the investigation at Via. (Sorry--I'm working on my Masters and don't have as much time to read the blogs) --so forgive me if this is a discussion that has already happened. I asked the person to please tell us who he is and here was his response:
As for an introduction, I am currently the Director of Corporate Security for SEND International, and have been since my retirement from the US Postal Inspection Service in 2005. During my 32 year career, I have served as a police detective, and with the FBI. A significant amount of that time was spent investigating or supervising individuals in abuse and child pornography investigations. I earned a Master of Divinity Degree from Moody Theological Seminary in 2003, and was ordained shortly after my retirement. The furthest thing from my mind was the utilization of my prior investigative skills in ministry. For the past few years I have utilized those skills investigating, and training others to investigate, child abuse cases for various mission agencies. Other members of the team have similar credentials and experience.None of us work for NTM. Through God’s grace, and because of our experience, we have been asked to undertake the task of conducting an independent impartial, fact finding investigation into the activities at Vianopolis. I hope you find this introduction satisfactory, and please feel free to share it with others who may feel the same as you. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact me via this email address, or telephonically at 248-477-4210 ext. 111.
I am encouraged that Rich Ramirez has not been in ministry forever. His baseline for "normal" is probably more accurate.
