I have hesitantly agreed to be interviewed by IHART investigators on Tuesday June 25th. Can anybody out there who has spoken with them give me a heads up about what to expect? What not to say?

Spoke with a friend who had an IHART interview herself awhile back and now I'm more unsure than ever. The investigator told me that NTM is paying for this investigation.... just a little paranoid.

Fear is perfectly normal, I spoke with a friend about some of the things I knew last night on the phone and it surprised me how much my voice trembled. I didn't expect that some of this would still bother me, especially when one considers I was talking to a caring friend who has worked in the same profession where we have both dealt with decades of trauma and suffering.

I would normally say, just tell the truth. But after recent developments I don't know who I trust anymore in this whole sorry mess. Perhaps this will seem very strange coming from an Agnostic, but a good prayer would not go amiss and a request for guidance.
Take someone you trust very well with you, hopefully someone who has insight into what and who you are dealing with.

I am sure others have better advice, don't think that really helped much, sorry.

Tell your story. What you felt. How it affected you then, and how it still affects you. Take your time. Be as specific as you can recall about dates, places and names. Set the context as necessary.

You will be fine. Remember, you are the victim and you are telling the truth.

Thanks, I will just be careful and feel it out as I go, I guess. I was a little worried because when I asked who was paying for the investigation they said NTM, but then I thought, better to spend their money on this than on further brainwashing and screwing up people all over the world. Even if I don't say much to them, I will consider this as money not spent on other crap promoted by this mission organization, and that is worthwhile.

Not offended in the slightest. Agnostics just don't have the courage to fully commit to a faith, we of course can pray, we just aren't sure if we are being heard.
Of course Sympathetic Agnostics are those who have a germ of faith, which sprouted then got the wrong fertalizer. In their own time they may well grow in some stunted fashion, but it takes careful nuturing and avoiding that weird fertalizer. Approaching them with weed whackers tends to really stunt growth.

Anybody mind if I just stay at home, you good folk don't really need a doubting Bemused trying to convert your goodselves .

Anyway, back to the subject in hand. I agree it is an emotional rollercoaster at times. Be gentle on yourself, this is all new, their are no magic solutions, but there are friends here to support and care.

anon via girl, Will pray for you that you will be strong and remember this is your life they are interviewing, I pray they will not intimidate you in any way. You are in the right, NTM is in the wrong. It takes courage but that courage may help not only you but others. Full stop.
