NowAware, you have cause to be skeptical. Without revealing too much, I will say that I too, have doubts that the communique quoted in news articles was actually sent out by the mission to all its members, active and retired. And my doubts are not based on conjecture alone. |

Raz, I to am more than skeptical! Just look at their track record. If they will actively assist abusers by not ensuring justice is served (ie. send them home on leave) then telling a little "fib" to the press is not beyond comprehension. The latest case will not be the last. |

Most of the news stories mention this "internal memo". Like this one, http://www.wesh.com/news/central-florid ... index.html which says: A New Tribe's spokeswoman said a note was distributed internally about Kennell's arrest. The communication said in part, "We are heartsick that children have been victimized. While we are trying to confirm whether there is a connection between the accused's personal actions and our organization, we have put the accused on immediate leave." "A note was distributed internally." Most outsiders would assume that meant this communication was sent to all active members of NTM, and one would hope, to retirees as well. I think what both NowAware and I are questioning is, whether that wording is a little dodgy, and we are thinking there is a possibility the rank-and-file members may still not have heard about this arrest. We are just wondering .... let us know what you find out from your friend, NowAware. |

Maybe this is extreme, but isn't that what we want....to blow NTM's disguise out of the water??? What about putting all this dirt on Facebook???? Just a thought. It would surely get around quickly. Like I said, just a thought! |

Some already have. It's an individual decision. But several of my friends have posted links to some of the articles on their Facebook status pages. There are a lot of articles/news pieces out there. Just Google New Tribes Mission Arrest. |

I'm serious, this didn't just happen by accident, a few very diligent MKs got off their butts and put the steps in place so that others could walk with confidence to nab this offender. One thing I learned as an MK, if you had a brilliant idea, keep it to yourself, because everytime you put it forward some religious fruit loop would give you personal ministry for thinking outside the box and then use your idea and get the credit for it. So what I'm trying to tactfully say is, we owe some people a deep load of gratitude for the hard and clever work they have done. Or we could just say, "yep praise the Lord, now what's on the other channel". One off to jail, don't stop now folks, don't rest on the good work of others. They have proved it can be done, we need to keep going till every last pervert is behind bars or NTM no longer exists. Hello, hello anyone out there? I've turned the chainsaw off so I can hear. Oh don't tell me the rapture has come and you forgot me again. |
