Ok, I meant the word mk's in my above post. I am sorry if I offended mks saying you are not taught to think on your own . I do not mean to imply you all cannot think on your own, but it sure takes a lot of guts and fortitude to stand on your own two feet as Ntm mks and many have not .

At the risk of annoying and upsetting the MKs I grew up with. Unless you were questioning what was going on when you were a kid, chances are you just flopped out of MK life on the field and carried on never questioning, never thinking for yourself. Wandering into a marriage where hopefully the other person had some clue what they were doing and knew how to question what was going on around them, producing a couple of kids and telling them the same nonsense you had your head filled with, because surely it must be true, it came from NTM for crying out loud.
You may well have gone back into NTM, be associating with the same people who taught you not to think for yourself and still not be thinking. You'll be sending your little tribers to the same dorm and you'll believe that what you heard on the grapevine happened and what you saw take place but closed your eyes to, will not be happening again, because Sanford made some really good policy changes and it wasn't much abuse anyway. Even the news of the arrest of Warren Kennel won't worry you, because the leaders told you there is nothing to worry about, they have it all under control, in fact they are cooperating with the U.S. govt itself and who better to help the U.S. govt to make sure they get it right than the leaders in Sanford?
So you can just potter through life, not think, trust God and hey presto at the end of it all, wander up to the Pearly Gates and collect a lovely crown for it all.

Except life is not that simple and if one hasn't figured that out by now, heaven help us.

Perhaps we should add just two little words to the quote in recognition of the talents of NTM and say that "men never do or ignore evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction".
