It's been said "You can never go back, because things have changed". And while in some ways that may be very true, I found it very helpful to go back to my school grounds and walk around there as a free adult and be able to process a lot of the feelings that remained from that time.

That is exactly my thinking as far as going back to Fanda. I would like to have the opportunity to wander around the camp, remember things, grieve, say good-bye to it all, and walk away. "Free adult" indeed!

So we have people who wont go unless it's in Senegal, and people who won't go if it is in Senegal. Ha. Me, I'll be there either way and don't really have a preference. I returned to Senegal last year and faced quite a few of my ghosts, so let's hear from more Eagles on this.

Kari, please dont base anything yall decide to do on anything I say!
I seriously doubt that I will go no matter where it is. For myself, I really must ask myself why?
So they can apologize? I really dont care...so I can yell at them? THEY really dont care.

You know, we could hold this retreat and ask NTM to only appear on Skype, for that matter. We could all be sitting in Senegal or the States or wherever, drinking a glass of wine and watching them apologize on a projector.
