the repentance retreat is ours to plan and organize. we will graciously be allowing NTM heads the floor for an allotted amount of time. this is NOT an event organized by NTM, it will be organized by ourselves, and we can put a stop to anything we are uncomfortable with. we can also invite grace if we so choose. anyone interested in helping organize this retreat please use this forum.

First thing I would like to discuss is when and where. NTM is funding the retreat, correct?
Senegal?

Senegal! Yea! However, some people may not want to go back but may still want to go to the retreat. Feel free to say if that is the case.
I have told GRACE that i won't even concider going if the attitudes of the EC are the same as the attitudes of the former FC of fanda that i saw in Lynchburg in June. I want reasurance from someone that has had direct contact with them that the attitude wont be "You poor dammaged things, im sorry but..." And that i wont be looked down the nose at because i am not perfect and they are.
In organising the when, please concider those who will have to get passports together and who would have to organise finance before they can even book flights.
For those of us that have a long way to travel i wonder if NTM would concider also paying for a travel partner as i don't think that i for one would travel long distance on my own :|

If we have it in Senegal, we will all have to get passports...
As for finances, I don't think many of us have that kind of money laying around... I think that a part of organizing the retreat should be getting NTM to agree to pay for the tickets, rather than us paying and waiting months to be reimbursed.

Well Sonnet, i think the choices will either be the USA or Senegal. I have only ever spent a week of my life in the USA but 9 years in Senegal and ther are Brazilians, Canadians... who would consider senegal closer to home that the US. So unless ppl would like to consider Australia where i live... :) But i would be happy to go back to the US as well.

I agree with Sonnet. It's not a wise choice to have the function there, and that's from a professional point of view. More thought needs to be put into it.
