definitely bad stuff happened there. I was beaten like a dinner gong. There was a time when I had open sores on the back of my legs from getting strapped too many days in a row. And of course, physical abuse was just grooming for the sexual abuse.

I actually blame my parents, who put me into the hands of the staff there when I was 9 and encouraged them to not spare the rod. Of course, parents who say this kind of thing have already broken the child. I was completely vulnerable. I told them of the strange sexual advances after the first year, and they accused me of lying, of making up the story to hyperinflate how I was being punished for my bad behaviour. Eventually, after three years of this, and of some pretty awful developments in my own behaviour and character, they finally transferred me to... Tambo. Which didn't go a whole lot better.

These were rubbish schools, bad people and completely in the hands of hell. I won't get into the discussion on the spritual dynamic except to say that the whole venture of a mission school is so wrongheaded and doomed. Don't these people read Titus, for Pete's sake.

You mean keeping your kids at home did not work either?

This is so painful to hear.
We stand with you and believe what you say.
We strongly desire your healing and validation and justice for you.
We are here to listen.
And we give good hugs.

Crashdog, thanks for speaking up. We welcome you to tell us more, or explore the various threads and thousands of posts here in the forums to read many stories you will relate to, or just to sit quietly and feel at home.

We know, we care, and we feel the hurt, with each new account of abuse and abandonment.
