He knew what sin is.
And he admitted it to others he had hurt and asked for forgiveness.

But it's worth repeating.

Dear Mr. Brown:

A few years ago I had a conversation with a friend who made some insightful comments with regards to the size, influence and impact NTM was having in the arena of world missions.

It was about the time the EC sent letters of apology to all its missionaries with regard to the way it had treated many through the years and the way it had been overbearing and unjust in certain areas… we were hopeful that a “revival” was actually taking place within the mission! Alas! It was short lived! After the “dust settled” it seemed that things--new policies, etc. were actually worse than before!

The allegory went something like this: NTM is like a locomotive that has gained momentum which makes it impossible for individuals to stop or bring to a screeching halt! This is very true! Only a merciful intervention of Almighty God can bring changes to Mission as large as NTM! In the past, during “times of refreshing sent from the presence of the LORD”, organizations have been brought back to the centrality of CHRIST—where sin is dealt with and its missioners walk in the FEAR of the GOD and desire HLOINESS more than the very breath that they breath! Would to God this would happen in NTM very this very day!

But, there is a second scenario that has been the doom of many an organization: Although a “penny on the track” will not stop a massive locomotive… trains do; however, get derailed. When this happens the damage is extensive and devastating! If NTM has not yet been derailed it is on the verge of doing so! Damage has already been great to many lives, young and old--just read the GRACE report, the Fandaeagle’s blog and forum! I would like to encourage you all at NTM USA--one shepherd to another--to “Rend your hearts and not your garments”! “…Repent and turn to God and PROVE your repentance by your deeds “(Acts 26:20). Explosions of a train are echoing in the distance where derailment is being heard and seen, where damages and repairs will be irreparable!

NTM itself uses the train analogy to deter anyone from making a suggestion. They say the policy (whatever) is already running on the track and cannot be stopped. What a weak excuse.
If what is right matters........

Did anyone know that some former NTMers---of longstanding---
went out in the backyard and smashed their plaques to pieces
sent their plaques back to Mr. Brown
wrote about the inconsistency of being celebrated with a plaque
while at the same time being kicked out of NTM
wrote about the current abuse of adult missionaries they personally knew about
while questioning the fact that NTM was calling this "historic"---
and what other responses have there been aside from hanging it on the wall?

We are dealing with people who are not reasonable.
Which has been suggested more than once--- with evidence.
