counseling costs

July 28th, 2009

Dear Kari,

As you know, we are seeking to process and engage a third party review group and will trust them to guide us through some of these decisions.

This does not mean, at all, that we are saying, “No” to your request for reimbursement for the counseling costs you & your parents have paid out over the years.

This decision is something that we would prefer to wait to address when we can engage an outside advisor. We believe this would be beneficial and unbiased.

Sincerely,

Tibby, on behalf of the CPC

Kari

Tibby, your manual says you will reimburse counseling costs. How are
you possibly talking about seeking an unbiased opinion here? There is
no question that you need to cover these expenses.

Can the CPC take any action on their own? Can they fire people? Or, can they only make recommendations to the Executive Board? Can they be fired by the Executive Board?

An old trick is for the CPC to say, Well, that is an Executive Board decision. Then, the Executive Board will say, We’ve got the CPC working on that.

Too many times these “committees” are just a ruse to delay ever facing the real issues.

Seems to be working. I guess you can’t argue with success.

how is it unbiased when ntm and the so-called “child protection committee” are the ones choosing the 3rd party review group? shouldn’t the mk’s get to choose that?

we might as well call a spade a spade and start calling the cpc the ntm protection committee.
